All of our Recore sunglasses are produced in high resistance recycled polycarbonate (RPET), an ultra lightweight material that is extremely tough and offers a unique look. Using only recycled materials e.g. plastic bottles allow us to reduce contamination and reduce the waste produced in our factories. Gul Recore sunglasses are outfitted with CR-39 Polarised Lenses for perfect eye protection, optical quality and timeless style. CR-39 is an organic material that is almost entirely opaque in the ultraviolet range, and transparent in the visible spectrum. Gul’s optics CR-39 lenses have a scratch resistant coating making them the superior material for sunglass lenses. CR-39 lenses provide 100% UVA / UVB protection. They are also resistant to gamma radiation, material fatigue, aging and most chemicals. Gul’s CR-39 Polarised lenses reduce glare from the ocean surface, road glare and other reflective surfaces ensuring clear vision on and off the water.
